Accessibility statement
Our goal
Kalla Connect aims for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
This is a goal we work toward, not a certification. No outside party has audited the site or issued a certificate for it, and we do not claim that it conforms.
What we check
Each time we change the site, we review these points on every page, in English and in Spanish:
- Automated checks with the axe testing engine, at desktop, tablet and phone widths.
- Keyboard use: every link, button and form field can be reached without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator, a link to skip to the main content, and a menu and form dialog that close with the Escape key.
- Colour contrast, and text enlarged to 200 % without losing content or needing to scroll sideways.
- Reduced motion: animations are switched off for people whose device asks for it.
- Language: each page declares its language, and English source titles on Spanish pages are marked as English.
- Photos have a text description and a credit.
What we have not done yet
We have tested with automated tools and with the keyboard. We have not yet tested with a wide range of screen readers or with people who have disabilities, so some problems may remain.
Some pages link to other websites and documents that we do not control. Their accessibility may differ from ours.
